A meeting at the University EDI lead and the Humanist Society Scotland provided the following details:

Overview:
Humanism is an approach to life based on reason and concern for humanity. Humanists believe that moral values are founded on human nature and experience alone. A belief in God or the idea of life after death is not accepted.

Humanists aim to live full and meaningful lives and try to help others do the same. The fundamental moral principles of Humanism are freedom, tolerance and happiness.

Worldwide followers (Estimated): Over 3.5 million.
