Pay Award 2024-2025
- The University has now implemented the nationally negotiated pay award for 2024/25.
- The pay award is phased as follows:
- Phase 1: Annual salaries (for those on SCP13 and above) will be uplifted by £900* with effect from 1 August 2024.
- Phase 2: A further salary uplift* will then be implemented in March 2025 - the increase received will be dependent on colleagues’ scale points (see link to pay scale below)
*Salary uplifts are incorporated into the total annual salary and paid in monthly instalments.
- You can view a copy of the salary scale showing the percentage uplift by scale point (PDF, 189 KB).
- A separate communication has been issued to colleagues on SCPs 7 to 12 whose salaries are affected, either directly or indirectly, by the University’s ongoing commitment to paying the Voluntary Living Wage.
- Uplifted salaries have been processed in the September payroll, with a back payment being made, where applicable, to cover the August element of the pay uplift.
- Unsure what your current scale point is? You can find this by logging into Self service. (Select your picture on the right-hand side, view my details, appointment history and then the information icon to show your current scale point).
- Updated pay scales are available on the Pay and Pensions webpage (on the righ-hand side under "Documents".)
