Keeping in touch
Check your email
While you are abroad, please remember to check your St Andrews email account regularly (at least twice per week as per Study Abroad Terms & Conditions (PDF, 581 KB)), as the University will use this to contact you throughout the year. You should also ensure that you read Wednesday Memos while you are away, so that you are kept up to date with events in St Andrews and are organised for returning to the University at the end of your placement abroad.
Update your personal details
Please also remember to update your Personal Details once you have a new address and contact telephone (preferably landline and mobile) abroad - it's important that the University knows where you are and how to contact you.
Send us your news!
Please do keep in touch with us throughout your semester/year abroad. We love to hear your news and see any photos you email us. Our Study Abroad Intern will be in regular contact with you too, keeping you up to date with all the news from St Andrews and looking for student profiles and photos for our website and publications.
Notify us of any problems
If you experience any problems while you are abroad, please let us know as soon as possible. You may wish to contact your Study Abroad Co-ordinator, the Global Office, or Student Services.
Should you experience any difficulties or have any concerns while you are away, do feel free to contact the Global Office (or phone +44 1334 462245) or Student Services at The ASC (Advice and Support Centre or phone +44 1334 462020).
While you are studying or working abroad for credit, you are still a St Andrews student, so please remember that you can always contact us, even if you're just feeling a bit homesick!
Careers
Please see our Careers page for advice on keeping up to date with Careers Centre news while you're away.
