Standards
Athena Swan
The University has successfully received the Silver Athena SWAN.
Aurora
Aurora is an external women-only leadership development programme. It is a unique partnership initiative bringing together leadership experts and higher education institutions to take positive action to address the under-representation of women in leadership positions in the sector.
Awards
HR Excellence in Research
The University of St Andrews was first awarded the European Commission HR Excellence in Research award in May 2012 and has since successfully retained the award at each review, which takes place every 2 years.
The Award previously recognised the University's alignment with the principles laid out in Vitae's 2008 Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers.
The University of St Andrews is now a signatory to the 2019 Concordat and has committed to implementing this new Concordat and supporting Researchers in the three areas of focus.
