Mandatory training for employees

As part of the University’s responsibility to meet its statutory duties and mitigate key institutional risks, we require all new and existing employees to complete a small number of mandatory training courses.

Not all mandatory training is applicable to every employee, therefore each section shows which training courses are mandatory for each cohort of employees. The completion of mandatory training is monitored and regularly reported to Schools and Units to support completion of the training by the University. Some mandatory training courses will need to be completed periodically. Each training course will advise how often this is necessary. Prompts to complete mandatory training will come via training owners and line managers.

The mandatory training courses hosted across a number of internal and external platforms. Therefore, it may be necessary for you to register on each platform to complete all of your mandatory training. Each training course includes instructions on how to access them, as well as contact details for technical support.
