Question: Why can I see two versions of my module?
Module visibility can be by academic year or ‘current’. These views can be toggled between using the ‘year’ dropdown list at the top left of the Modules page, followed by the ‘Get my Modules’ button. The ‘current’ view is the default view, and this lists all the modules that you have access to that are currently running, as defined by the ‘view from’ and ‘view to’ dates (these are listed on the Overview page for a module). Modules are viewable until the end of the summer break to allow for resit and deferred assessments. Near the start of the academic year, after the modules for the new academic year have been activated, it is likely that both the old and new modules are viewable to staff when in the ‘Current’ view. To view only the new modules use the academic year view and select the forthcoming academic year followed by the ‘Get My Modules’/’Get All Modules’ button.
If you see two versions of a module in the same academic year and same semester then contact service desk by email at itservicedesk@st-andrews.ac.uk listing MMS in the subject header.
